Vine, the short-form video app owned by Twitter is growing in popularity.
Vine of course isn’t the only platform out there for short-form video but it has certainly gained huge traction for several reasons. The one that sticks out in my mind the most is its ability to tell a compelling story in 6 seconds. As a result, many skillful Viners have gained a huge following.
Can businesses and brands benefit from this new platform? Only time will tell but from a business perspective, Vine gives brands the ability to shower potential customers with bite sized, well designed and persuasive ads. Think of it this way: If a 30 second video is sexy conversation, a 6 second video could be a flirt, both of which have the potential to influence the viewer.
